Enhance your classroom studies of the colonial period and the American Revolution by joining us in Charleston for a day of history and learning.  We have carefully chosen sites and activities that best pertain to your fall curriculum.

Step beyond the classroom at Drayton Hall.  Used by both British and Patriot forces as a headquarters throughout the American Revolution, Drayton Hall is rich with colonial history.

Students will participate in a curriculum-based program that combines hands-on activities that focus on the life of a common soldier and the basics of British Army drill.

Using the Historic District as the perfect backdrop, the Patriots of Charleston Walking Tour takes students on a journey through the colonial period, into the American Revolution, and into the beginnings of the new republic.

Visit the Old Exchange Building & Provost Dungeon.  Tour the jail where Patriots were held, the room where the US Constitution was ratified, and the ballroom where George Washington was entertained.
