Step beyond the classroom at Drayton Hall. Used by both British and Patriot forces as a headquarters throughout the American Revolution, Drayton Hall is rich with colonial history.

Students will participate in a curriculum-based program that combines hands-on activities that focus on the life of a common soldier and the basics of British Army drill.
Using the Historic District as the perfect backdrop, the Patriots of Charleston Walking Tour takes students on a journey through the colonial period, into the American Revolution, and into the beginnings of the new republic.
Visit the Old Exchange Building & Provost Dungeon. Tour the jail where Patriots were held, the room where the US Constitution was ratified, and the ballroom where George Washington was entertained. |
